Capri:
Form-fitted, mid-calf length

Care Instructions:
The care instructions for all our swimsuits; Always hand wash with mild soap. Roll suit in towel and squeeze out excess water. Dry flat: avoid laundering in washing machines and dryers. Chemicals in whirlpools, spas and public pools may cause your suit to deteriorate faster. Suntan lotions, salt, prolonged sunlight, chlorine and perspiration may cause discoloration and fabric breakdown. Chlorine is extremely harsh and will ruin the elasticity of Spandex stretch, as well as cause white swimsuits to turn yellow. For tie-dye cover ups, we recommend hand-washing separately in cold water to prevent color bleeding.
Chlorine Resistant:
Our long-lasting
chlorine resistant swimwear fabrics are designed to prevent the harsh effects that chlorine can have on your swimsuits, while preserving their bright color with colorfast benefits, and retaining the shape and elasticity of your swimsuit with Xtra Life Lycra spandex. We offer two signature fabrics; Lycra Xtra Life and Poly/Spandex. This collection used to have the name, Aquabelle. The products are the same but we’ve dropped the Aquabelle brand name. Many of our chlorine resistant separates are meant to go from gym to swim, meaning they transition from the pool, to the gym or out and about town. Chlorine will quickly degrade and lose its elasticity if not hand-washed directly following exposure to chlorine chemicals in a pool or hot tub. It’s vital to hand-wash your swimsuits with a mild detergent such as Woolite, and to never launder them in a washing machine or dryer for the longest wear possible.
(See also; Lycra Xtra Life, Poly/Spandex and Colorfast)
Colorfast:
If you’re looking for chlorine resistant swimwear which will resist fading, stay brightly colored and won’t bag or stretch out, you need our colorfast Poly/Spandex with polyester as the key fabric component.
(See also; Chlorine Resistant and Poly/Spandex).
Convertible:
A swimsuit or cover up which is convertible merely means that you may wear and style this garment several different ways. Either the straps convert from wearing it multiple ways, or a convertible dress may be worn multi-ways as a skirt or a dress. Our convertible brief with foldover waistband may be converted to wear it folded for less coverage or unfolded for maximum waist coverage.

(See also; Triangle)
Handkerchief Hemline:
A
handkerchief hemline on some of our swimsuits and cover ups is formed by panels of fabric which fall into points, resembling the corners of a handkerchief. Generally our handkerchief swim tops are unlined and unhemmed, cut using high-tech laser cutting machines for non-fray edges.
(See also; Laser Cut)
Heart Shape:
A
heart shape body type is characterized as being narrower along the hips and thighs yet fuller through the shoulders and bust. The shape mimics an inverted triangle, fuller at the top and skinny at the bottom. To flatter broad shoulders, look for X-back, crossback, racerback styles, high necklines and one pieces which draw attention to your back and neckline as a flattering diversion. To minimize a large bust, shop exclusively for underwire support rather than wire-free swimsuits.

(See also; Low Waist Bottom and Mid Waist Bottom)
Hip Minimizer:
We refer to some of our hip flattering swimwear and cover ups as a
hip minimizer in that they flatter and minimize the appearance of one’s hips as a swimwear solution. They are not constructed with any special hip-smoothing interior fabrics, but are excellent choices to consider when looking to hide hips in a swimsuit. Longer silhouettes provide extra hip coverage, as skirts, swim shorts and swimdresses are especially slimming.
Hourglass Shape:
An
hourglass shape is the curviest body type, characterized as having broader shoulders, a smaller waist and fuller rear and thighs.

How to Measure:
We offer very simple
how to measure fit guidelines and instructions on how to take your underbust, overbust, cup size, waist, hip and torso measurements in an effort to match your measurements against our size chart to select the perfect fit swimsuit or cover up for your body. We urge you not to choose your regular size in other brands or clothing, or select a size based on others’ opinions. It’s best to follow our size guidelines to order the correct size for your shape!

longer length swimsuit choices mean you will remain covered, no matter what!

Chlorine Resistant
LYCRA® XTRA LIFE Spandex fabric retains its shape and fit 5-10 times longer than other fabrics. Spandex will quickly degrade and lose its elasticity if not hand-washed directly following exposure to chlorine. It’s vital to hand-wash your swimsuits with a mild detergent such as Woolite, and to never launder them in a washing machine or dryer for the longest wear and life possible.

N
Natural Waist:
Your natural waist is located between the ribcage and hips. When you bend at your waist to one side, the point where your body creases is your natural waist. This is where it’s best to measure yourself when determining your waist size measurement for our Size Guide.
See our How to Measure information above.
Nylon:
Nylon swimsuit fabric is a synthetic fiber that is highly durable and water resistant. The majority of our swimwear is designed with Nylon mixed with Spandex, which is the fiber that provides the stretch. Nylon and Spandex will quickly degrade and lose their elasticity if not hand-washed after exposure to chlorine. It’s vital to hand-wash your swimsuits with a mild detergent such as Woolite, and to never launder them in a washing machine or dryer for long wear.
(See also; Lycra Xtra Life, Poly/Spandex, Spandex and Taslon)
O
One Piece:
A fitted
one piece swimsuit fully covers your torso. A large number of our one piece bathing suits are designed with a built-in Power Mesh tummy control lining panel in the front to comfortably smooth your shape. Finding an ideal fit in a one piece swimsuit is the most challenging of all swimsuit styles, because your bust, waist, hip and torso measurements must all align to our Size Guide closely in order to pinpoint the perfect fit.
Overbust Measurement:
It’s important to take your overbust measurement in order to match your size equivalent to our Size Guide to confirm that you’re ordering the best-fitting size for your body. You simply measure the fullest part of your bust, with a level tape measure, in your best fitting bra.
See our How to Measure information above.
P
Pear Shape:
A
pear shape is the body type most often categorized as being fullest through the hips and thighs, while narrower through the waistline and shoulders. To distract away from fuller hips, look for sarong front swimsuits, swimdressess, skirtini and shortini sets, which glide over the hips.

All of our exclusive swimwear and cover ups are designed with the
plus size swimsuit customer top-of-mind! Our swimsuits are crafted for full-figured, curvy women who want value-priced, quality bathing suits designed to fit perfectly. We now offer a collection of extended size swimsuits for women sized 28+, in a range from size 14 to 40!
Poly/Spandex:
If you’re looking for chlorine resistant swimwear which will resist fading, stay brightly colored and won’t bag or stretch out, you need our Poly/Spandex with polyester as the key fabric component. Polyester replaces Nylon in these swimsuits and this keeps our bathing suits stretchy and colorfast! It’s critical to always hand-wash your swimsuits, and to never launder them in a washing machine or dryer for the longest wear possible.
Power Mesh:
Our signature built-in Power Mesh lining is infused into the majority of our one piece swimwear and offers an extra layer of lining in the front of our slimming swimsuits to comfortably firm, shape and control your tummy.

(See also; Swim Tee)
Rayon:
Rayon, or modal, is not a synthetic fiber. It’s made from wood pulp, a naturally-occurring, cellulose-based, raw material, which is very smooth, soft and breathable. It resists wrinkles and shrinking, and isn't likely to pull or fade. Many of our cover ups are designed in rayon or modal fabrics.
Relaxed Fit:
The majority of our swimsuits evoke a relaxed fit. They fit loosely over the body and offer a comfortable, no-cling feel. They are easy fitting and not tight.
Removable Cups:
Our removable cup foam pads are inserted into small slits on the side of the bust area in our swimsuits and are intended to provide modesty and a natural shape, not padding to your bust size. They can also be easily taken out. If you receive dented foam cups, you can steam them using a steamer on a low heat/steam setting. Gently push dents/wrinkled parts outwards, or use the back of a wooden spoon, so you don't burn your fingers. Cups will become wet while you steam thoroughly and push all wrinkles flat. Let dry/cool completely before wearing.
S
S-Hook:
A S-Hook closure is constructed in either metal or plastic and forms the shape of an “S”. It’s used to fasten the back of a swimsuit and most often fits into a swim bra band strap with multiple, adjustable slots for a secure fit.
Sarong Front:
Our
sarong front swimsuits are one piece bathing suits with a flattering, draped front panel of fabric in the front, which is designed to swoop lower in the center front of the suit to camouflage a woman’s inner thigh area. This drape is slightly asymmetrical and higher on one side, with shirring details at the waist. The back looks like a traditional one piece with a brief, non-skirted bottom.
Scoopneck:
A U-shaped neckline is referred to as a scoopneck. It highlights the neck and collarbone area.
Self-Tie Strap:
Self-tie straps simply mean that the shoestring-type ties can be adjusted for a custom fit.
Separates:
Swim separates are a collection of swim tops and swim bottoms that can be combined together to create a perfect two-piece look. Swimwear separates are sold individually, not as a set. You may shop our

mix and match bikini tops or
swim bottoms individually.

(See also; Encircled Shelf Bra, Molded Cup Bra and Wire-Free)
Shortini:
We refer to a two-piece swimsuit which pairs a separate swim top with swim shorts as a
shortini set. Shortini sets provide full rear and extra thigh coverage, not offered with a traditional tankini set with a swim brief. We have multiple swim bottom short silhouettes such as boy and banded waist shorts, cargo shorts or loose shorts, nylon shorts and numerous lengths of bike shorts.
Shorts:
All our swimsuit
shorts are designed for swimming, or will transition nicely from gym to swim. We offer numerous swim bottom short silhouettes including boy shorts, cargo shorts, loose shorts, nylon shorts, banded waist shorts and varied lengths of bike shorts, sold individually as separates or paired with swim tops as two-piece sets.
Side Bra Boning:
Many of our wire-free swimsuits are constructed with built-in side bra boning, which are two vertical, rigid, firm support strips that support each side cup seam from collapsing. This is often found in our non-underwire, soft cup swimsuits.
Size Guide or Size Chart:
To get the perfect fit, we strongly advise that you always view our
Size Guide (which is linked on every product page throughout our site) to choose the size that most closely matches YOUR underbust, cup-size, waist and hip measurements. Every woman's body is different, so it’s important to consult OUR size guidelines to find the best fit for your body. We urge you not to blindly choose your regular size in other brands or clothing, or select a size based on others’ opinions. Our measurement equivalents are given in U.S. standard inches.
(See also; How To Measure)
Skirts:
Swim bottom
skirts feature built-in or attached full coverage briefs and provide rear, hip and upper thigh coverage. Some are full, A-lined while others are a bit narrower through the hips with a side slit. Skorts are also considered a skirt.
Skirtini:
A
skirtini is defined as a two-piece swimsuit set which includes a swim top with a separate skirted swim bottom. Skirtinis offer full rear, hip and upper to mid-thigh coverage. Skirt silhouettes can vary from bottoms like sarong skirts, A-line and side-slit skirts.
Skort:
A swim
skort is a bottom silhouette with a skirted front and boy short style look in back; hits upper thigh with front side-slit opening.
Smocked:
An embroidery technique used to gather fabric into tight pleats, allowing the material to stretch, is commonly known as a
smocked detail on our swimsuits and cover ups.

A garment without shoulder straps or other visible means of support, highlighting the neckline, shoulders and arms is considered to be a
strapless swimsuit style. Also referred to as a bandeau swimsuit.

They do not feature any built-in bra support. Some rashguards or swim tees are a Creora blend fabric which provides UPF 50 sun protection from harmful UV rays.
T
Tankini:
A two-piece swimsuit that has the look of a one piece is called a
tankini. A
tankini set is comprised of a separate swim top and a separate swim bottom. A
tankini top provides more coverage through your torso than a bikini top. Our tankini category includes all two-piece sets;
tankinis,
shortinis and
skirtinis.
Tank One Piece:
A style of swimsuit with non-adjustable, wide straps offering full bust support is called a tank. We offer
tank one piece swimwear, which are constructed with wire-free, comfortable, built-in, fully encircled shelf bras with soft molded cups.
Taslon:
Our
Taslon nylon fabric feels like cotton, is resistant to penetration by water yet breathable and comfortable to wear. It resists mildew, dries much quicker than cotton and retains its shape. We offer many Taslon® nylon swim bottoms.
Tie-Dye:
Cover ups designed in a
tie-dye fabric means each garment is uniquely colored. Each style's fabric is unique and the color/print of fabric may vary slightly from the style we photographed. We strongly recommend you hand-wash separately in cold water to prevent tie-dye colors from bleeding.
Tie Front:
We often add a
tie front decorative design touch to our swimsuits to bring a hint of femininity to our bathing suits and cover ups. The majority of time they do function and are adjustable.
Triangle Top:
Our sexiest bikini tops with soft, wire-free cups in the shape of a
triangle are referred to as triangle swimsuits or triangle bikinis. Thin shoestring-type straps secure around the neck at the back and generally at the bottom of the cup for adjustable sizing. Triangle bikini tops are synonymous with halter tops.

tunics. They generally hit above the knee and are intended to wear over a swimsuit, not as street-wear.

Unlike our traditional swimdresses, our two piece swimdress is not constructed with a built-in one piece swimsuit underneath. U
Underwire:
Semi-circular plastic or metal wire support, or
underwire, is stitched under each bra cup inside our underwire swimsuits. These covered, comfortable wires are built-in to our swimwear and provide extra bust support, lift and a natural shape. Many of our new bathing suits are now available in cup or bra-sizes too, similarly sized like your favorite bras, and offer excellent support!

Underbust Measurement:
To get the right fit in all our swimsuits, it’s important to take your underbust measurement in order to match your size equivalent on our Size Guide. You measure directly under your breasts and completely around your back/rib cage with a level tape measure. A precise underbust swimsuit measurement equates to one’s bra band size measurement. Confirming your underbust size will help you to order the best-fitting Swimsuits For All size for your body.
See our How to Measure information above
UV Protection Swimwear:
“UPF” stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and it measures the Ultraviolet radiation or “UV” protection from the sun provided by a fabric. (Similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens.)
Our Swimsuits For All styles with UV sun protection have a rating of UPF 50 (the highest possible rating) which means only 1/50th of the sun’s UV rays can pass through, and it blocks 98% of UV rays. Sunscreen use is still recommended when wearing our UPF 50 styles since no clothing can completely block out UV rays.
Please note that most fabrics lose some of their UV protection over time from repeated washing and wearing. Garments that are damp or wet typically provide less UV protection (this is especially true of lighter fabric colors). Also, on any UPF 50 suit that had mesh or other fabric panels, those panels would not provide the same UPF 50 protection.
V
V-Neck:
A neckline with a V-shaped front is called a
V-neck. Our V-necks offer wonderful bust support, however are designed to flatter and expose your chest.
W
Wire-Free:

X
X-Back:
Our
X-Back or criss-cross swimsuit straps form the shape of an X. Straps designed with crossback straps offer optimal bust support and a full range of motion. Most of our X-back swimsuits are constructed with non-adjustable, wide straps.
Z

Easy-fit, sporty
zip styles feature functional zipper details, which allow for adjustable bust coverage.
